The FANS Conference is looking for two research interns.  Location: anywhere with reliable internet access. Time frame: 1 September 2012 – 31 July 2013.  Grad student in humanities preferred but *NOT* required.  Deadline work will be required with one major assignment and a few small ones per month being the average.  These positions are non-paying, but interns will receive publication credit from all resulting work as well as a full weekend membership to the First Annual Fandom and Neomedia Studies (FANS) Conference as well as a full weekend pass to A-Kon 24.  Ongoing projects include research into anime, manga, gaming, TV series, movies, and fandom.  Projects may include making contact lists, cover and other art for a journal, and blog postings.  Please send an email with the subject heading “FANS Intern” to FANSConference@gmail.com with your CV/resume and a cover letter explaining why we should choose you.  Deadline for application: 1 September 2012.
